DPERS makes $25m commitment

DPERS has agreed to commit $25 million to Marcus Capital Partners Fund III, subject to legal review, according to approved board documents.

The $9.32 billion public pension currently allocates 21.9 percent of its funds to alternatives.

As illustrated in the charts below, DPERS has a 3.25 percent allocation to real assets, which is divided between private real estate and energy company investments. This is the pension’s second commitment to a fund managed by Marcus Partners.
